Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
- Train and mentor junior team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless dining experiences for guests
- Assist in menu planning, development of new dishes, and presentation styles
- Monitor quality control throughout the food preparation process to uphold high standards
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with team management responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Experience in serving guests and delivering excellent customer service is desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is essential
