Job Overview
To support activities that North Wales Tourism (NWT) / Go North Wales to grow its income streams, maintain membership and track business performance through websites. The role combines admin sales support, revenue and business development responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to sales, membership, and business development activities.
- Support the development and delivery of initiatives that increase income streams for North Wales Tourism / Go North Wales.
- Assist with maintain members listing across all Go North Wales platforms.
- Build positive relationships with tourism businesses, members, partners, and stakeholders across North Wales.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role that support the objectives of North Wales Tourism / Go North Wales.
- Support collaborative projects that enhance the visitor economy and strengthen member engagement.
- Work closely with colleagues across marketing, membership, and business development functions.
- Attend meetings, events, and industry forums as required to represent the organisation.
- Support digital marketing activities that drive website traffic and member value.
- Identify opportunities to promote membership benefits, advertising, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
- Assist in generating sales leads and following up prospective members and commercial partners.
- Support the planning and delivery of promotional campaigns, events, and networking activities aimed at business growth.
- Contribute to achieving income and membership growth targets.
- Process new membership applications, renewals, and membership enquiries.
- Support member retention initiatives and assist with membership recruitment campaigns.
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification or significant experience in a sales and administrative role, with an understanding of tourism-related issues.
- Proven experience in sales administration or a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good computer literacy with a solid understanding of IT systems relevant to business operations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work internally and externally to understand needs and deliver solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a focused team environment.
- Strong time management skills with an organised approach to workload prioritisation.
- Welsh language skills are desirable.
