We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer to join our team and take ownership of client website projects from initial planning through to successful launch.
This is an office-based role for someone who is confident working independently, managing multiple projects and delivering professional websites without requiring constant supervision.
The Role
As our Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for the complete development lifecycle of client websites, including planning, development, testing, launch and ongoing improvements.
You will work closely with clients, designers and project managers to transform requirements into high-performing digital solutions.
The successful candidate will be someone who can take ownership of projects, make technical decisions, solve complex problems and consistently deliver websites to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of website projects from concept to launch.
- Design and develop bespoke WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores.
- Build websites from scratch using clean, scalable and maintainable code.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Create advanced WooCommerce functionality and integrations.
- Manage website development timelines and deliver projects on schedule.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly with clients and internal teams.
- Perform website testing, quality checks and launch preparation.
- Optimise websites for speed, security, performance and SEO.
- Integrate APIs, payment gateways and third-party platforms.
- Manage website migrations, hosting setup, domains, SSL and technical configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain existing client websites and implement improvements.
- Review code quality and follow best development practices.
- Keep up to date with modern web technologies and industry standards.
