Cliffe Kennels is a family owned busy working kennels offering Rescue, Boarding facilities and stray kennels.
We are looking for a hard working, dedicated and committed new members to join our team who are not afraid of hard work and are committed to their job and the care of our animals.
Suitable applicants will have the following.
* A passion and understanding of dogs.
* Keen to work and be a committed member of the team
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Have the ability to listen and follow instructions.
* NVQ or similar preferred but not essential.
* Training to NVQ standard is available.
* A good understanding of English both written and oral is needed.
* Be friendly & approachable with customers
* Full clean manual CAR driving licence. ESSENTIAL For transportation of animals.
The successful applicant must be able to work as part of the team with trust built with the other team members and have some experience in working in a kennel environment with multiple breeds and temperaments.
The role is varied and interesting if you have a passion for dogs. It will involve cleaning, feeding, walking & playing with the dogs as well as transport runs to collect dogs and take to vets and general day to day maintenance of the kennels.
No two days are the same and the work is hard but rewarding and interesting.
Ideal candidates would be able to ensure our dogs have stimulation and interaction and be able to see changes in the dogs behaviour.
Helping adopters by discussing the dogs with them and ensuring the dogs and adopters are well matched.
Keeping clear records for the dogs & preparing adoption paperwork.
2 nights a week on call for which a bonus is paid after training -
Minimum of 16 hours per week, additional hours as needed, includes week end work
