Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Truck (FLT) Counterbalance Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of bulk raw materials within a busy yard environment. The successful candidate will work closely with delivery drivers and internal colleagues to ensure materials are accurately received, booked, and dispatched while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to safely load and unload bulk raw materials.
- Liaise with delivery drivers to ensure efficient loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Work closely with colleagues to understand order requirements and accurately book in bulk raw materials.
- Load and unload materials in a busy outdoor yard environment.
- Check purchasing documents and purchase order paperwork for accuracy.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working area.
- Follow company procedures and health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence with experience operating in an outdoor yard environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexible and adaptable with a positive work ethic.
