Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients under supervision.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with ingredient replenishment and stock organization to ensure smooth workflow.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Help with setting up dining areas and serving stations during busy service times to enhance guest experience.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning chemicals.
- Support the overall cleanliness and organization of storage areas, ensuring all items are stored correctly.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques such as chopping or cleaning ingredients is advantageous.
- Experience in a hotel or catering setting can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling is a plus.
