Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Experience with commercial driving and flatbed vehicles is highly desirable, and the role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, across designated routes
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Deliver products to clients or distribution centres in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Assist with organising delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness
Requirements
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation skills within the area of operation
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times
