About the Role
As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will live alongside your client, supporting them with daily activities, personal care and emotional wellbeing, helping them maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.
Your duties will include:
- Personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Assisting with mobility, medication reminders and monitoring wellbeing
- Preparing nutritious meals and supporting with feeding where required
- Light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
- Shopping and running errands
- Providing companionship, emotional support and meaningful engagement
- Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities and community outings
- Maintaining accurate daily records and reporting any concerns appropriately
- Promoting independence, choice and dignity at all times
What We Are Looking For
- A caring, compassionate and reliable approach
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different home environments
- Respect for privacy, dignity and individual preferences
- Reliability, professionalism and trustworthiness
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (advantageous)
- Basic First Aid and Manual Handling training (preferred)
- Right to Work: You must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship currently
