Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote well-being, and ensure the comfort and safety of clients. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with medication administration as per care plans and under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining independence
- Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual needs and preferences
- Drive between care settings or client homes as required to facilitate home care services
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic IT literacy for record keeping and communication purposes
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between locations
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver safe, person-centred support
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
