We are on the hunt for a couple of PCV Drivers to join our Fylde Villager Team and also School & Private Hire Team.
You would be required to work Full Time from our depot in Fleetwood on either our Fylde Villager Network which serves the villages of the Fylde Coast and provides vital links with the towns of the Fylde Coast or our Schools and Private Hire Team providing home to school transport for hundreds of pupils each day alongside Private Hire duties throughout the country.
Our Fylde Villager Network operates 14 vehicles over 26 duties per day, predominantly long duties allowing people to work a standard 4 day week and get a decent wage with the option for overtime if wanted. Our duties incorporate all 4 of our routes and start between 5am and 7.30am and finishes are between 8pm and 10.30pm so no finishes in the middle of the night.
Our passengers are our priority and customer service is key. We operate a fantastic reliable service for our passengers and we have the best team around to do this with. The mantra we work to is "just look after my old biddies" and that is literally all I ask. Drop the step every time, wait until they sit down before setting off and just generally be a kind and decent person. Manners cost nothing and 99% of our passengers when you smile and say "Good Morning" will do the same in return....it's a simple concept that seems to work. We do not tolerate any instances of early running and any drivers found to be doing that are spoken with, ideally we want our buses running bang on time as much as possible. We want you to be able to set your watch by our buses (when they don't decide to dig up or close a road randomly)
When it comes to customer service we want those who are willing to go above and beyond. If someone is running a little late and you see them running for the bus then just stop and wait. You hear all too often about bus drivers who see customers running for buses and still continue to drive off. I'm not saying it doesn't happen in our operation but i want drivers who don't do that sort of thing. It's not a badge of honour to leave someones behind nor does it make you some kind of bus driving god....it actually makes you abit of a k*#b if you do that and are proud of it!!!
We provide you with a company uniform, a staff pass to use on buses throughout the Fylde Coast, Weekly Pay (increasing in May 26), 32 Days Holiday pay, Company Pension and a nice break room to have a brew and a sandwich in. All we ask in return is you look after our passengers and give them the best experience possible.
