Residential Support Workers – Children’s Home
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team on an agency basis, supporting children in a residential care setting.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people who may have experienced trauma, emotional or behavioural difficulties. You will play a key role in promoting their safety, wellbeing, and development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care, support, and supervision to children and young people
- Build positive, trusting relationships
- Support emotional and behavioural needs in line with care plans
- Encourage education, hobbies, and life skills
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Promote safeguarding and adhere to all policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a children’s residential setting (essential)
- Understanding of safeguarding
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Flexible, reliable, and committed
- NVQ Level 4 in Children & Young People (preferred but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
