The role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll support day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, check, and put away inbound stock, completing all relevant documentation accurately.
- Pick, pack, and label customer orders.
- Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.
- Book relevant courier orders onto system
- Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks; forklifts if licensed) in line with safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and hazard‑free.
- Follow all H&S guidelines, reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
- Support ad‑hoc tasks to meet operational needs.
- Local Delivery - (Clean Driving licence is required)
- Serve walk in customers
- Maintain tidy yard
What we’re looking for
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience is preferred (not essential for the right candidate).
- Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet for most of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with good numeracy and basic IT skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude and reliable timekeeping.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or shifts during peak periods.
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential—training can be provided.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour

- Preston, Lancashire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
