With over 100 years of history and recently acquired by Your Local Garden Centre Group in April 2026, Everton Nurseries is entering an exciting new phase. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef ready to play a key role in shaping our catering offer as part of this next chapter.
You will be working in a busy kitchen environment, supporting a front of house coffee shop and restaurant operation. Working alongside your team, you will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day cooking and food production, ensuring a consistent, high-quality fresh food offer. The ability to design and cook homestyle food and breakfast in volume will be critical to success.
Our vision is to be an inspirational leisure and retail destination with a strong catering offer. This is an important position within the team and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make their mark and develop within a growing company.
We are open 7 days a week, so some weekend working will be required, but with no split shifts and no evenings.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure quality of food provision to every customer
- Maintain good practices to achieve GP targets
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored safely in line with regulations
- Work closely with the Catering Manager as part of the wider team
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including COSHH, HACCP and Environmental Health
- Maintain accurate records for food preparation and storage
- Regularly assess the quality of food served on the servery
- Follow agreed menus and company procedures
