Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Carpenter Foreman to oversee and coordinate carpentry projects on-site. The successful candidate will lead a team of carpenters, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong management skills, technical expertise in carpentry, and the ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously. The Carpenter Foreman will play a vital role in maintaining project timelines, quality control, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of projects
- Oversee all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and specialised installations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times on-site
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to facilitate smooth workflow
- Manage materials procurement and ensure proper utilisation of resources
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, labour hours, and materials used
- Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and provide solutions to keep projects on schedule
- Conduct regular site inspections to uphold quality standards and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven management experience in construction or carpentry projects, with a track record of supervising teams effectively
- Extensive hands-on carpentry expertise across various disciplines including framing, finishing, and specialised installations
- Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera P6 is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organise a diverse team of tradespeople
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in planning and execution
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites

Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
