Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals for our customers. Prior experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. A Pay of £13.50 per hour will be depending on experience.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stations during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised
- Support meal preparation for various events or daily service as required
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service, including serving meals when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Flexibility to adapt to different roles within the kitchen as needed
