We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. This role involves managing financial records, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of financial processes. Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Managing accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports
- Assisting with payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Supporting general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Organising invoices, receipts, and other financial documents for audit purposes
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors as required
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or administration within a professional environment
- Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and financial record management
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A recognised qualification in accounting or administration is desirable but not essential
- Ability to adapt to new software programmes and organisational systems
