Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our professional team, reliable and trustworthy. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards. The position is paid and suitable for qualified technicians eager to utilise their expertise in a dynamic workshop environment. Mot licence is preferred but not essential, would be willing to put the suitable candidate through the course. Pay will be determined by your skills, experience and willingness to contribute.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections in accordance with MOT testing regulations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre fitting
- Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing
- Complete detailed reports on vehicle condition and repairs undertaken
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
- Heavy lifting of vehicle components or parts when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester with relevant qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge of various vehicle makes and models
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential for all roles
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks undertaken
