Taxi Driver / Maintenance Operative (Dual Role)
Location: Balmaha, Loch Lomond
Conic Taxis is a newly launched private hire company based at The Oak Tree Inn in the stunning surroundings of Balmaha, on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. We are building an environmentally conscious transport service and are looking for a reliable, professional individual to join our team in a unique dual role.
About the Role
We are seeking a well-presented Taxi Driver / Maintenance Operative who can combine private hire driving with general operational maintenance support.
You will be representing Conic Taxis on the road and helping ensure our small but growing fleet remains in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing safe, courteous, and reliable private hire taxi services
- Operating a fully electric Tesla vehicle in line with our green transport commitment
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean, charged, and presentable at all times
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the operation when not driving, including basic maintenance work and groundskeeping around the site.
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally holds a valid taxi / private hire licence (or willing to obtain if suitable)
- Full UK driving licence with a clean or near-clean record
- Practical, hands-on attitude with basic maintenance skills
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
- Comfortable working independently in a rural / scenic environment
- Flexible approach to a varied dual-role position
