Situated in the heart of the Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent, Twenty Four Hour Engineering Ltd is a privately owned, family run engineering firm looking for a new member to join the team as a Forklift Driver / Yardsman/Women.
Founded in 1985, the company occupies 14,000 sq ft, specialising in Architectural Metalwork and Engineering with the aim of offering a quick and reliable service to our ever expanding customer base.
MAIN DUTIES
- Driving the company forklift & Daily Checks,
- Opening & Unloading of the workshop,
- Loading and Unloading of goods,
- Wrapping & Packing of Pallets, Boxes ready for dispatch,
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard and workshop,
- Manual handling of goods,
- Use of general workshop machinery,
- Assist other Workshop staff when required to meet our reasonable business needs.
JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS
- Forklift License
- Valid UK driving license
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent ability to communicate at all levels.
- Accurate with good attention to detail.
- Ability to forward think and plan ahead
JOB TYPE
Permanent, Full time
Monday to Friday 7am until 3:30pm (40hr week, half hour unpaid lunch, paid break)
SALARY
£13.50 per hour
Overtime available during weekdays at time + half
