We are looking for 3 reliable and experienced self-employed Multi-Drop Delivery Drivers to join our team, delivering within the BR3 / Beckenham area from DPD’s new Croydon depot.
The new Croydon depot is due to commence operations from 6 October 2026. Successful applicants will initially complete their training at the DPD Dartford depot, building up their workload and experience so they are fully trained and ready to operate from Croydon.
Once transferred to Croydon, your delivery route will be local to the depot, predominantly covering the BR3 / Beckenham area.
The Role
This is a fast-paced multi-drop delivery role, driving a Long Wheelbase (LWB) delivery van. Applicants must be comfortable and confident driving a large commercial van on residential roads and in busy urban areas.
Once fully trained and up to speed, drivers can expect approximately 120–150 stops per day.
You will be responsible for loading your vehicle, completing your allocated delivery route safely and efficiently, providing a professional service to customers and following all required delivery and scanning procedures.
Pay
£1.20 per successful delivery stop
At a typical 120–150 successful stops per day, this equates to approximately £144–£180 per day, depending on route volume and successful deliveries.
Van and insurance contribution: £50 per week.
Experience
Previous multi-drop courier experience is strongly preferred, ideally with at least 1 year’s experience working with a major delivery company such as:
- DPD
- Amazon
- DHL
- FedEx
- Royal Mail
- Parcelforce
- Evri
- UPS
- or another established multi-drop courier company
Previous experience driving a Long Wheelbase (LWB) van or similar large commercial vehicle is preferred.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 21 years of age or over
- Hold a full UK or EU driving licence
- Have no more than 6 points on their driving licence
- Be confident and competent driving a Long Wheelbase (LWB) van
- Be comfortable manoeuvring and parking a large van in residential and urban areas
- Be physically fit and comfortable completing a busy multi-drop route
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Have good communication and customer-service skills
- Be comfortable using a smartphone and delivery/scanning applications
- Be willing and able to complete all required background and vetting checks
- Be available to complete initial training at the DPD Dartford depot before transferring to Croydon
Training
All new drivers will initially train from our existing operation at DPD Dartford.
Full practical training will be provided on the delivery systems, procedures and route requirements. Your workload will be gradually built up during training so that you are confident and fully operational ahead of the move to the new Croydon depot from 6 October 2026.
