Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, along with practical skills in using hand tools and power tools. The Approved Electrician will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify faults or potential issues.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out installation and repair tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Valid approved electrician certification or licence recognised within the industry.
- Proven electrical experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems and standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to health and safety regulations at all times. Candidates with additional experience in complex electrical installations or specialised systems will be highly regarded.
Pay: £40,000.00-£46,166.17 per year
