Firmacore Limited is a groundworks and civil engineering contractor based in Gloucester, working across the South West. We deliver earthworks, drainage, foundations, S278/S38 works and external works for national housebuilders, with whom we have excellent long-standing relationships. Our pipeline is strong and we're continuing to grow — so there's real scope here for the right person to grow with us.
The role
You'll work alongside our existing team, learning the commercial side of groundworks properly and taking on your own packages as you develop:
- Take-offs and measurement from drawings
- Assisting with monthly valuations and applications for payment
- Pricing variations and dayworks
- Helping procure materials and subcontract packages
- Supporting cost reporting and subcontractor payments
- Regular site visits, so you understand how the work is actually built
You'll get proper support rather than being left to sink or swim.
What we're looking for
- Strong numeracy and confidence reading drawings
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- A clear communicator who'll happily deal with site teams and subcontractors
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
