Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Transport Despatch professional to join our team for Morning shifts 04:00-12:00 midday, Monday to Friday. This role involves coordinating the timely dispatch of vehicles and ensuring smooth communication between the warehouse and transportation teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our logistics processes.
Duties
- Prepare and organise dispatch schedules for morning shipments
- Coordinate with drivers and transportation providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Verify shipment documentation and ensure accuracy of all dispatch records
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding shipment readiness and special instructions
- Monitor dispatch activities to identify and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of dispatched goods and update relevant tracking systems
- Assist in loading or unloading shipments as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support inventory management by updating records related to outgoing shipments
- Shifts between 04:00-12:00 midday, Monday to Friday, Flexibilty required
Requirements
- Prior experience in logistics, despatch, or transportation
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently during morning hours and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with dispatch or inventory management software
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Valid driver's license
- Counterbalance or Bendi license preferable
