Duties
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to execute repairs efficiently
- Follow detailed schematics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex equipment problems
- Conduct heavy lifting and equipment repair tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each vehicle serviced
- Assist with routine preventive maintenance to extend vehicle lifespan and reduce downtime
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and professionally to clients or team members
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Experience performing heavy lifting safely in accordance with safety standards
- Knowledge of equipment repair procedures and routine maintenance practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally
