About the role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Support Worker to join our CT department. This role combines direct patient care with supporting the safe and efficient use of radiology equipment and computer systems.
The successful applicant will be a caring, motivated, and reliable individual, able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will provide compassionate support to patients, assist with their comfort and preparation for imaging procedures, and support the team in using departmental computer systems and technology effectively. You will also be required to cannulate patients as part of your role, with full training provided for this and all other aspects of the job.
You will be confident, flexible, and professional, able to work across day shifts, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow instructions accurately and work in a fast-paced environment. In return, you will also have the opportunity to develop your skills further and contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
We cover 4 hospital sites; Pontefract, Pinderfields and Dewsbury as well as a Community Diagnostic Centre based in Wakefield town centre. The CT teamwork work a variety of day shifts, nights and weekends (including bank holidays).
The Trust has excellent travel links to Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster and Bradford. We are close to both the M1 and the M62.
