Job Title - Manufacturing Engineer
TRT Ltd is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques. TRT is beginning to use more advanced technologies in its repair processes such as robotics, adaptive machining and laser deposition.
We are looking for a manufacturing engineer experienced in the repair and coating of hot end Gas Turbine components to join our talented engineering team.
About You
As a Manufacturing Engineer at TRT you will work across the full range of Manufacturing Engineering activities to introduce new products, develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost and lead-time.

Duties and Responsibilities
- HSE & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental standards
- Product Safety: Maintain process integrity to meet specification requirements,
- Quality & Process Control: Promote a zero-defect culture, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Technical Authority: Oversee manufacturing process controls, acting as a signatory where applicable.
- Innovation & Improvement: Identify and implement advanced manufacturing processes, digital systems, and technologies.
- Project Planning: Manage schedules, resources, and risks to meet project deadlines.
- Process Development: Continuously improve manufacturing methods for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Standardisation: Align processes with best practices
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work across teams, document best practices, and contribute to knowledge exchange.
- New Product Introduction: Own the development and approval of the technical package.
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or another national equivalent)
- Recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g. UK IEng or CEng) where available
- In depth understanding of manufacturing processes used for the repair and coating of Gas Turbine Engines
- Able to work on own initiative applying Engineering knowledge
This will be a predominantly office based role and will require the successful candidate to interact with others throughout the office and factory areas.
Key Information:
Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on Experience and Qualifications)
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 Hours (Monday-Friday)
