We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader to work across our two neighbouring homes:
- The Hollies – Specialist Dementia Care
- St Armands Court – General Residential Care
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about delivering high-quality care while supporting and developing others.
Working Hours
- Shifts: 7:00am – 2:30pm or 2:30pm – 10:00pm
- Includes weekend working on a rota basis
- Role involves working across both homes
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will:
- Lead by example, supporting and guiding care staff
- Assist with care planning, compliance, and medication management
- Support residents with dignity while promoting independence and wellbeing
- Work closely with the management team to maintain high standards
- Contribute to staff supervision, training, and development
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a role model and mentor for care staff
- Support and supervise team members, including new starters
- Administer and record medication (following appropriate training)
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes
- Maintain accurate care plans and daily records
- Assist with resident admissions and assessments
- Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Minimum Level 2 qualification required
- Experience in a senior care role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
