PrimeFix Group Ltd is a growing property services company providing professional leak detection, plumbing, heating, drainage and electrical services across London and the surrounding areas.
We are expanding our heating and gas team and are looking for an experienced Gas & Heating Engineer to join our growing business.
This is a field-based role for someone who is confident working independently, has strong technical knowledge and takes pride in providing a professional service to customers.
The Role
You will attend residential properties to carry out gas and heating work, including servicing, repairs, fault finding, installations and system improvements.
You will be responsible for completing each job safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out boiler servicing, repairs and maintenance
- Diagnose and repair faults across domestic heating systems
- Carry out gas and heating installations and replacements
- Work on boilers, heating controls, hot water systems and associated components
- Complete fault finding and accurate system diagnostics
- Identify additional work or repairs where required
- Explain findings and recommended works clearly to customers
- Complete digital job reports, including photographs and relevant documentation
- Manage your daily workload and attend scheduled appointments on time
- Maintain the company van, tools and equipment provided
- Follow all relevant gas, health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Gas & Heating Engineer
- Current Gas Safe registration
- Relevant ACS qualifications
- Strong experience in boiler servicing, repairs and fault finding
- Good knowledge of domestic heating systems
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional and reliable approach to work
Qualifications
Essential:
- Gas Safe registered
- Current ACS qualifications relevant to the work being carried out
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating or Domestic Gas
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
- Experience with modern heating controls and smart systems
- Manufacturer training or accreditation
