As part of our strategic expansion, we're launching a dedicated Traffic Management division and are seeking an experienced, driven and commercially minded Head of Traffic Management to lead it.

The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be responsible for developing, leading and growing our Traffic Management operation across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day management of the Traffic Management division.
- Building operational processes, procedures and delivery standards.
- Ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of all Traffic Management activities.
- Providing technical expertise on temporary traffic management requirements.
- Reviewing and approving Traffic Management plans.
- Managing compliance with NRSWA, Chapter 8, TSRGD, NHSS and relevant legislation.
- Working closely with operational, technical and SHEQ teams.
- Building strong relationships with customers, local authorities and stakeholders.
- Supporting business development, tenders and commercial growth opportunities.
- Monitoring productivity, utilisation and profitability.
- Recruiting, developing and leading a high-performing Traffic Management team.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with the leadership and commercial skills needed to build a successful operation.
You'll ideally have:
Essential
- Significant experience within the Traffic Management industry.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Chapter 8
- Temporary Traffic Management
- NRSWA requirements
- Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD)
- Experience leading Traffic Management teams and projects.
- Ability to review and approve Traffic Management plans.
- Strong understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing operational performance.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Lantra Traffic Management qualifications.
- NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
- NHSS-related experience.
- Experience establishing or developing a Traffic Management function.
- Previous involvement in business growth and customer development.
