Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Bar Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and process payments efficiently using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including organising stock and glassware
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures afterwards
- Engage with guests to create a positive experience and promote repeat business
- Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods, demonstrating strong time management skills
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth operation of the venue
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is preferred
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients are essential
- Experience in serving or bartending roles will be advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are vital for delivering exceptional customer service
