Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to cover maternity leave. In this vital role, you will support our early childhood education team, ensuring high-quality care and learning experiences for children. Your dedication will inspire confidence, promote developmentally appropriate activities, and uphold our values of kindness, positivity, honesty, belonging, and respect.
Duties
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that stimulate children’s learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Support the planning and implementation of daily routines that promote independence, social skills, and emotional resilience.
- Mentor junior staff members to foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share updates on their child’s progress and address any concerns promptly.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to safeguarding policies and health & safety regulations.
- Contribute to a positive nursery culture by embodying our core values in every interaction.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Valid childcare qualification at Level 3 or above.
- A valid driving license is preferred to facilitate outings when necessary.
