About the Role:
London is renowned as a global hub for innovation and enterprise technology, and at Millennium Digital Technologies Ltd, we apply that same world-class standard to critical networking infrastructure. We build high-performance, resilient networks that keep modern businesses connected and secure. We believe enterprise IT support shouldn't be reactive or chaotic. We are looking for a Network Support Engineer who can take ownership of network reliability and client success. You aren't just restarting routers; you are optimizing network architecture, resolving Tier 2 infrastructure challenges, and ensuring seamless connectivity. You are the defender of network uptime in a fast-paced technology landscape.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our office is located in central London. We value an environment that fosters technical problem-solving—think modern equipment, collaborative workspaces, and high-speed enterprise setups.
- Infrastructure Maturity: We don't need you to convince us that network health matters. We know it does. You will have direct access to enterprise-grade networking gear and senior decision-makers from Day 1.
- Modern Stack: We work with industry-standard solutions across Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and cloud networks, ensuring you work with components and protocols that keep your skills cutting-edge.
- Growth: You will have access to training resources and certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) to keep your technical edge sharp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Ownership: Monitor, support, and maintain client LAN/WAN networks, VPNs, and wireless configurations. Ensure high availability across all systems.
- Tier 2 Problem Resolution: Lead the incident response process from initial alert to root-cause analysis and hardware troubleshooting, keeping downtime to a absolute minimum.
- Technical Guidance: Assist client IT teams and junior staff. Conduct system checks and provide clear, structured feedback that elevates overall infrastructure health.
- Proactive Monitoring: Don't just wait for tickets. Track network health metrics, perform routine firmware updates, and audit security rules before minor issues turn into outages.
- Documentation & Communication: Present network status updates and incident reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can explain why a firewall rule was changed, not just that traffic is flowing.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years in Network Support or Systems Administration, with hands-on exposure to enterprise routing, switching, and firewall security.
- Track Record: A solid history of network troubleshooting is non-negotiable. We want to hear about real incident resolutions, network upgrades, and topology deployments.
- Tooling: You are proficient with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, FortiOS, Wireshark, Subnetting, and enterprise network management tools.
- Language Skills: English (Full Professional/Native fluency) is required for client support, technical documentation, and daily collaboration.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know when to implement a quick patch to restore service and when to architect a long-term solution.
Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
