We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Learner Journey & Growth team as a Positive Engagement Coordinator, playing a key role in supporting high standards of attendance, behaviour and learner engagement across Bolton College.
This is a varied and influential role for someone who is highly organised, confident and committed to helping learners succeed. You will coordinate attendance and behaviour interventions across the College, ensuring that concerns are addressed early, consistently and fairly, while supporting curriculum and pastoral teams to manage issues effectively.
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience of working in a busy education, pastoral, safeguarding, attendance, behaviour or learner support environment
- Be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with learners, parents/carers and staff at all levels
- Have experience of maintaining accurate records and using data to monitor cases, identify trends and support decision-making
- Be confident managing challenging conversations and appropriately challenging practice
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating Stage 1 and Stage 2 attendance and behaviour cases, ensuring actions are timely, appropriate and accurately recorded
- Supporting curriculum and pastoral teams to manage attendance and behaviour concerns consistently and effectively
- Coordinating Attendance and Behaviour Panels and communicating outcomes to learners, parents/carers and staff
- Contributing to the development of positive engagement systems and championing a learner-centred approach
- As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
