Salary – NJC Grade 4, SCP 5-6 (£25,583 - £25,989 pro rata) £18,276 - £18,566 actual
Hours per week – 30 hours per week (with flexibility of start and finish times)
Weeks Per Year – Term Time plus 2 additional weeks per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional, highly organised and self-motivated Finance Assistant to support the Business Manager and work as part of a small, friendly team providing comprehensive and responsive financial and administrative support to the College.
This is a busy and varied finance and administration role with a strong focus on customer service and communication. The successful applicant will regularly liaise with parents, students and external customers, responding to enquiries in a professional and efficient manner. The role also requires excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure financial transactions, records and administrative processes are managed accurately and effectively.
Managing the administration of educational visits and travel activities including financial reconciliation
Managing the administration of the bursary, school bus applications, school meal tokens and Arbor queries
Coordinating the collection and reconciliation of fundraising income.
Preparing and processing cash banking
Providing general administrative support to the Finance Office.
Key skills and attributes:
- Experience of working in a school or educational setting would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, are essential
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Experience of financial administration, cash handling and maintaining accurate financial records would be desirable
- Willingness to support other staff in the finance office as required
