This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader to take responsibility for managing a high-quality residential service and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will provide strong leadership and management to a dedicated residential care team, ensuring the delivery of excellent childcare provision in line with the home’s Statement of Purpose.
You will be responsible for creating a safe, warm and stable environment where children and young people feel valued, supported and able to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, supporting and motivating a residential care team to deliver the highest standards of care.
Creating a positive, respectful and child-focused culture within the home.
Building strong relationships with children, young people, families and external agencies.
Understanding the individual needs of children and young people and ensuring staff support them to achieve positive outcomes.
Managing workforce planning, including recruitment, inductions, supervisions and ongoing professional development.
Ensuring effective rota management and maintaining a safe and consistent service.
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
Previous experience in a senior or management position within residential childcare.
Passionate, confident and committed approach to supporting children and young people.
Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or currently working towards) or equivalent.
Full UK driving licence.
