Recycling Sort Line Operative
Location: St Albans
Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour, Overtime paid after 48 hours at 1.25x (£16.38 per hour)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 1:00am
Occasional Saturdays: 3:00pm – Midnight
About the Role
Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for Recycling Sort Line Operatives to join a busy waste and recycling facility.
This is a hands-on role working on a moving conveyor belt, where you'll help sort recyclable materials to support the recycling process. If you're reliable, hardworking and enjoy working as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort recyclable materials on a moving conveyor belt, removing non-recyclable items from the waste stream.
- Achieve daily pick rate and productivity targets.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean and tidy.
- Empty bins and containers as required.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Work safely and effectively as part of a busy production team.

- Previous recycling or production experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Pay & Benefits
- £13.10 per hour
- Overtime paid after 48 hours at 1.25x (£16.38 per hour)
- Enhanced overtime rates up to £19.65 per hour
- Weekly pay every Friday
