Here at Giffords Recycling Ltd we are currently looking to recruit a Pallet Repairer. The role will be based in our West Bromwich facility. Successful candidates needs to have experience working in a busy warehouse environment and be able to commute to the B70 8JN location .
A requirement of the role is experience using hand tools but you must have nail gun experience.
The role will involve the following duties:
Pallet Repairer
- Inspect pallets before they are repaired
- Repairing pallets using various power tools including nail guns
- Keeping working tools in a safe condition
- Quality checking the finished product
- Manual handling of pallets
- General warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth and safe operations on-site
- Keep place of work clean, neat and tidy
- Adhere to all health and safety within the workplace
- Target based
Requirements
- Warehouse experience is essential for this role.
- General manual handling of pallets
- Must have previous experience using a nail gun and saws
- Proficient using various hand tools
- General warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth and safe operations on-site
- Keep place of work clean and tidy
- Confident in manual handling techniques
- Frequent bending and lifting will be required for this role
- Able to stand for longer periods of time. Operators must be able to repeatedly lift pallets, physical work
- Weight loads of 30-30kg
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Understand the importance of Health and Fire Safety
- Good communication skills are required for this role
- Exceptional team player
- Able to be flexible in busy operation periods - overtime may be required

- Hours of work: 39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm
- Early finish on a Friday - 7am to 3pm
- Flexibility will be required for this role - occasional Saturday morning may be required subject to business need
