Job Overview
To safely and efficiently transport goods between company sites and customer locations during night shifts, ensuring deliveries are completed on time while complying with all road transport legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Bulk tipper work
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before, during and after each shift.
- Load, secure and unload materials safely where required.
- Deliver and collect goods according to planned schedules.
- Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Comply with drivers’ hours regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle.
- Report defects, accidents or delays promptly.
- Drive safely and professionally at all times.
- Communicate effectively with transport office, customers and site staff.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (CE)
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of UK drivers’ hours regulations.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
Desirable
- Experience transporting bulk aggregates
