Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for managing and providing all logistics including but not limited to freight and shipping support and all of the associated compliance and mandatory processing e.g. HMRC, Customs and Excise. This role has been created to support the growth and development of our company at a period of expansion.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all shipment and accompanying documentation is according to company and statutory trade compliance processes and procedures
- Ensure shipment and accompanying documentation is completed according to laws, rules and regulations to country of departure / destination
- Keep updated on laws, rules and regulations regarding transportation, both domestic and foreign
- Liaise with client logistics handlers/international freight forwarders and ensuring all goods and equipment is manifested, shipped and received in compliance with client and company policy and procedures
- Implementation and management of all current customs & excise compliance
- Ensuring all certification / paperwork is entered into computer system in a timely manner and diligence
- Communicate and liaise with all departments and close out supply chain relating to inventory and logistics
- Daily update of SAP system and reporting statistics
Essential Criteria
- Work experience in a similar logistics or freight role
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations for domestic and international logistics.
- Experienced in the legal compliance for HMRC inward processing imports and exports and bill of discharge
- Experienced in compliance check of HMRC MSS reports
- Experienced in coordination of HMRC PVA reporting
