Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to diagnose faults efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future failures.
- Read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out for documentation purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Demonstrable electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Valid electrical licence or certification as required by local regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights when necessary.
