The Paw Shed is a boutique, family-run dog grooming salon in the heart of Reigate, Surrey. We pride ourselves on providing tailored, one-to-one grooming appointments in a calm, supportive environment where both dogs and groomers can thrive.
We’re looking for an experienced, passionate dog groomer to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a close-knit salon that values high standards of grooming, exceptional customer service, and a positive team culture.
For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to become involved with our Dog Grooming Training Academy, mentoring aspiring groomers and receiving additional financial benefits. This is entirely optional but offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching and developing others.
About The Paw Shed
Our salon is designed with both dogs and groomers in mind. Alongside our retail space, we have a spacious grooming floor with four grooming tables, as well as two private grooming salons for nervous or anxious dogs. This allows us to provide a calm, personalised experience for our clients while maintaining the support and camaraderie of a busy salon team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous professional dog grooming experience.
Can confidently complete grooms to a high standard without supervision.
Provides outstanding customer service and enjoys building relationships with clients.
Is organised, reliable and proactive.
Works well within a team and is happy to help wherever needed.
Takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming salon environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Greeting clients and discussing their grooming requirements.
Washing, drying, clipping, styling and hand stripping dogs to a high standard.
Providing excellent customer service at both drop-off and collection.
Managing appointments and responding to new enquiries.
Maintaining cleanliness throughout the salon.
Monitoring and replenishing salon products and supplies.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
Working Hours
Full-time, permanent position.
Salon opening hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm.
We groom an average of five dogs per groomer each day.
Immediate start available.
Optional involvement in our Dog Grooming Training Academy with additional earning potential

Two consecutive days off a week
Requirements
Essential
Minimum 1-2 years of professional dog grooming experience within a salon environment
Confident grooming independently.
