3 days a week on a 2 week rolling rota - 1 weekend in 1 off.
8am-2pm
1. Adopt a clear and concise stock control system.
2. Advise, influence, and oversee other members of the Domestic team.
3. Take a lead role in respect of Infection Control.
4. Oversee the completion of all associated records and paperwork. Escalate any concerns found.
5. Support the auditing process within the Home.
6. Undertake any other tasks that may be deemed as reasonable as part of the role.
7. She/he is required to attend work at the times set in the off duty or as instructed by the Manager.
8. It is requested that all duties be carried out in a professional working manor, bearing in mind always the privacy of Residents.
9. All instructions of the Manager/cleaning schedule should be adhered to.
10. Hygiene should be maintained to the highest levels, particularly in Residents bedrooms, dayrooms and toilet facilities.
11. Trailing wires e.g. from vacuum cleaners etc. should not be permitted where a trip[ping hazard could occur for Residents or Staff.
12. All safety and fire regulations must be maintained. Fire doors should not be wedged open.
13. Any odours in the home must be reported to the Manager.
14. Cleaners must have a knowledge of the methods of use of vacuum cleaners, carpet shampoo machines and polishing machines etc.
15. Staff must know and understand how to dilute cleaning fluids and carry out precautions set down on the labels of chemical cleaners.
16. Domestic staff must bear in mind the safety of others when leaving wet floors to dry by leaving a warning notice
17. Domestic staff must report any maintenance work that needs to be carried out.
18. Take note of COSHH requirements when using/storing all chemicals.
19. Should domestic staff enter food preparation areas/ food store areas, cleaning overalls / aprons etc. should be removed and hands thoroughly washed.
20. CHEMICALS OF ANY DESCRIPTION MUST NOT BE LEFT IN RESIDENTS BEDROOMS, DAYROOMS OR TOILET AREAS.
21. Regular Infection control audits
