SEN Teacher
Students aged 11-19
Full-time role
8:30am - 3:30pm
September start
This special school in Swindon is looking for an SEN Teacher to join their team from September. The school has a strong reputation within the local area and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for both students and staff.
The school caters for students aged 11-19, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan and require specialised, staff-supported learning environments. Students have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, and/or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school is committed to helping every student achieve their full potential through a personalised and nurturing approach to education.
The role
Due to the needs of the students, it is imperative that you have previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs. Experience supporting students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and/or Autism Spectrum Condition is highly desirable.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of your students. You will work closely with support staff, therapists and families to create a positive and structured learning environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.
The role is challenging but incredibly rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
Should your application be successful, the school would be keen to meet with you to discuss the role further ahead of a September start.
