We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook work in a care home . The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety and culinary techniques, with a focus on meal preparation and food presentation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and that our residents enjoy high-quality meals in a welcoming environment. 4 days a week ,including every other weekend ,if you have NVQ pay will be higher
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential.
