An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced phlebotomist to join our team to cover a Friday shift and additional ad-hoc basis at our private medical clinic in Macclesfield.
You must have at least 3 years’ continual experience in Phlebotomy (Paediatric desired), and experence in performing 12-lead resting ECG.
The critical requirement is your loyalty, dedication and flexibility. You will be required to assist to packaging of our online orders when the clinic is quite. Full training will be given.
About the opportunity
We are looking for a phlebotomist to cover initially every Friday between 10am and 4pm at our central Macclesfield clinic. Our clinic is a GPHC registered pharmacy offering private blood tests and health screening services to patients within the local area and beyond. You will also be performing 12-lead resting ECG. There is opportunity to cover more shifts during the week and at weekends including at our new Wilmslow clinic.
You should be confident in taking venous blood draws using the butterfly needle, from preparation to labelling and packaging samples ready for transportation to the laboratory. You should also be confident in understanding the necessary procedures in phlebotomy including ANNT and BBE as examples. In addition, the role will involve working within our online division which will include packaging orders, answering emails and telephone calls.
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience in phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 1 years' experience in performing 12-lead resting ECG
- Strong attention to detail.
- Hands on and willing to help in the online business
- Committed and flexible.
- Team player
- Ability to work on your own without supervision
Role:
- Safely drawing venous blood draws from patients and explaining the process to them
- Have a excellent knowledge in various types of blood tests
- Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment
- Sending samples off to the lab
- Updating patient medical records
- Be responsible for disposing sharps and clinical waste according to company policies and compliance with health and safety
- Customer service role including answering emails and telephone calls
