We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Indian cuisine, specialising in tandoori cooking, and possess strong leadership qualities. Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian tandoori dishes with precision and flair, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage food production processes, including marinating, grilling, and presentation of dishes.
- Oversee food safety practices and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Lead the team during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Assist with menu planning and development to introduce new dishes that reflect authentic Indian flavours.
- Train junior staff members in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Indian cuisine, particularly in tandoori cooking, with a strong background in food production and kitchen management.
- Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian dishes.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen environment.
- Previous restaurant experience, especially within Indian or multicultural cuisines, is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy service periods.
