We are seeking enthusiastic and professional serving staff to join our hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen team
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Handle guest enquiries courteously, providing information about menu options and specials
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required
- Manage guest payments efficiently using point-of-sale systems
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
