The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Garden Centre Manager to lead our busy site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation, team performance, and commercial success of the centre.
Weekend working is an essential part of this role due to the nature of retail trading.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily running of the garden centre, ensuring high standards across all departments
· Lead, motivate, and develop a large retail team
· Drive sales, profitability, and KPI performance
· Deliver an outstanding customer experience across all the retail areas
· Manage stock control, merchandising, and seasonal product displays
· Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational procedures
· Work closely with senior management on business strategy and growth
About You
· Proven experience in retail or garden centre management
· Strong commercial awareness with a track record of driving sales
· Excellent leadership and people management skills
· Passion for horticulture, outdoor living, or lifestyle retail
· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple departments
· Flexible and willing to work weekends and peak seasonal periods
