BrandArt is a creative, growing business designing and supplying bespoke branded merchandise to popular visitor attractions. We’re looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant who is equally confident producing full management accounts and handling transactional bookkeeping.
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end finance process for BrandArt - from daily entries and reconciliations through to monthly reporting, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting. Working closely with operations and directors, you will help ensure the business has accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making. This is a standalone role where you will own the finance function end to end, with the freedom to shape the role and make it your own.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
- Produce full monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and post all journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, and rebates.
- Maintain and develop cashflow forecasts.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with operational managers and directors.
- Provide insight into costs, margins, and performance trends.
- Reconcile and maintain accurate stock, rebate, and cost of goods sold reporting.
- Ensure integrity of all financial data and records across the business.
Transactional Bookkeeping
- Process supplier invoices, customer receipts, credit notes, and other transactions.
- Maintain purchase and sales ledgers.
- Perform all reconciliations (bank, supplier statements, control accounts).
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Liaise with the external payroll provider; process and reconcile payroll journals.
- Ensure all financial records are audit-ready and compliant with regulations.
Business Partnership & Operational Support
- Work closely with our Operations Manager to understand spend, costs, and project profitability.
- Provide financial support to non-finance stakeholders, explaining data clearly and accessibly.
- Respond to internal queries related to invoices, budget tracking, and reporting.
- Share insights and best practices with the CargoStop Management Accountant to align finance practices across both businesses. (Note: CargoStop is a separate business within the same building, with shared ownership.)
This is a unique opportunity to shape the role into your own in a forward-thinking company working with exciting customers and projects.
