Position: Quality Lead – Early Years Education
Location: Room Based / Nursery Setting/ Wembley Park
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent/ 40 hours per week- Room based role
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Quality Lead to support and enhance the quality of education across our nursery setting. This is a room-based role focused on driving outstanding early years practice, supporting staff development, and ensuring children receive the highest standard of care and learning experiences.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework while promoting a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment within the nursery room.
- Monitor and improve the quality of education in line with the EYFS framework and Ofsted expectations.
- Coach, mentor, and support practitioners to develop outstanding early years practice.
- Carry out regular observations, learning walks, and quality audits to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Support planning and curriculum development to ensure engaging and age-appropriate learning opportunities.
- Ensure children’s progress is effectively monitored and interventions are implemented where needed.
- Promote inclusive practices and support children with additional needs.
- Work collaboratively with Room Leaders, management, and parents to maintain high standards of care and education.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are consistently met.
- Support staff training, inductions, and ongoing professional development.
- Upkeeping Montessori resources and shelving
- Contribute towards achieving and maintaining strong Ofsted outcomes.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or above.
- Proven experience within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and Ofsted standards.
- Experience supporting quality improvement within an educational environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for children.
Desirable
- Leadership or management qualification.
- Experience supporting inspections or quality improvement plans.
- SENCO knowledge or experience supporting inclusive practice.
